You could say that the 80′s Ski Party is ‘totally tubular,’ but then we suppose you would be dating yourself. For the 10th Annual we were thinking ‘sick bird’ or ‘wicked killer’ might describe the event a bit more appropriately. On November 15th, 2013, all those who dare to relive the greatest decade of ski wear will unite to celebrate skiing primarily, the 80′s of course and fundraise for FIRST DESCENTS. Mark your calendars and get ready for the only event that truly prepares you for the upcoming 2014 ski season. Read more...

Today my family and I were invited to tour the Hammond's Candies factory in Denver, Colorado. We were able to see how the candy is made in addition to sampling the many different confections produced at the factory. Chocolate, candy canes, giant suckers and more! Read more...
From messes to masterpieces, the kitchen is where memories are made.
I’ll never forget the first time I rolled my own pizza dough, first time I used olive oil instead of canola oil to ruin 24 muffins, or the first time I made a birthday cheesecake from scratch. The endless ingredients, aromas and recipes create an environment filled with laughter, joy and full stomachs. Read more...
As the radio played, time ticked away and the conversation seemed to die out. The minutes seemed to turn into hours which only made the stop and go traffic more unbearable. Gathering friends and families of every kind, Hammond’s successfully held their 1st Annual Candy Cane Festival where entertainment, arts and crafts, and –as usual – their free factory tours were held. Now in its twelfth year, the festival continues to grow while the fun gets grander. Read more...
